Lorrie has a passion for painting.  She loves to manipulate color and try to capture the inner spirit of whomever or whatever she is painting.  She enjoys working with oils, acrylics, pastels, charcoal and mixed media.  Although Lorrie has studied with many excellent instructors over the years, she considers herself as being self-taught and still learning.  Each creative expression is a totally new experience and she likes to keep it that way.

Portraits of people and pets, landscapes, still lifes, experimental inks, and abstracts are each a part of Lorrie's portfolio, as well as small sculptures in clay and papier mache.  She has a studio in the Tarpon River Arts Center, Ft. Lauderdale, FL where she does her artwork and gives private and semi-private instruction to adults and children.

Lorrie Williamson has exhibited her art in Florida for the past eight years and in that time has won over 20 awards, including two "Best In Show" awards.  Two of Lorrie's paintings were purchased in 1997 for the set of the movie, "Blood and Wine," starring Jack Nicholson.  She is a member of the American Society of Portrait Artists, and the exclusive Florida Artist Group which is celebrating its 50th year.
