MARY BELLE CORDELL

Mary Belle is a certified porcelain artist teacher with the World Organization of China Painters.  She has studied ceramics at the prestigious Penland School of crafts in North Carolina and The Virginia Douglas School of Porcelain Art in North Carolina and with many internationally known porcelain art teachers.  Her work has been published in House and Gardens, The World Organization of China Painting and The International Porcelain Art magazines.  She has exhibited her work at the Fort Lauderdale Museum of Fine Art, the Coral Springs Museum of Fine Art a one women show, and the Boca Museum of Fine Art and the Cornell Museum in Delray Beach Florida.  Her award winning porcelain was exhibited at Neiman Marcus Fort Lauderdale as one of the "Best of the Best."  Her porcelain portrait of Nancy appeared in the Portrait Society of Americas magazine.  She is the past president and National art chairmen of The National League of American Pen Women, the Fort Lauderdale branch, and is a professional artist and writer in that organization.  She is also a member of the Women in the Visual Arts and the Boca Raton Museum of Art - The Artist Guild.

Recently Mary Belle was one of the five winners of the ART BRAVO show that was held at ArtSERVE Gallery in Fort Lauderdale FL and will be a part of a larger show with the other winners during the month of January 2007.

Mary Belle is also on the staff of the Boca Raton Museum the Art School.  She teaches porcelain art and gold and fused glass on porcelain.

Each piece of her fine art is fired many times in a kiln at a temperature of 1400 degrees. She continues to study and encourage others to appreciate the fine art of china painting.
