The Artists' Guild offers several venues where members enter juried exhibitions of original fine art. A portion of all art sales from any Guild venue benefits the Boca Raton Museum of Art. A brief description of each venue follows. The Guild is always willing to consider new venues. If you have a good idea, please leave a message for a board member at the Images Gallery (561-393-9115).
The Images Gallery: The Images Gallery is the premier exhibition space of the Signature Members of The Artists' Guild. The gallery is located in Mizner Park across from the Boca Raton Museum of Art directly behind Ann Taylor Loft. The Images Gallery is where participating Signature Members exhibit a wide variety of original fine art. Each show is juried by a different professional juror who is not a Guild member. A typical show runs 5 weeks. The artists who exhibit their work also staff the gallery. Guild artists work in all different media and the changing jurors insure that each show will offer ever changing high caliber artwork. Exhibitions are open to the public. No admission is charged. Gallery hours are seasonal. Please verify hours before coming to Mizner Park. Eligibility: Signature Members
The Biennial Exhibition: Every two years, The Artists' Guild holds a juried exhibition at the Boca Raton Museum of Art. The Biennial runs concurrently with the Museum's All Florida exhibition. This show is extremely competitive and our Signature Members enter only their very best work. This show will be on display during the summer of 2008. Eligibility: Signature Members.
The Courtyard Building:
August 2008 is the 23rd year that The Couryard Building in Boca Raton has been sponsoring The Artists' Guild's Open Juried Art Exhibition in conjunction with the City of Boca Raton for their annual Boca Festival Days Event. The Courtyard Building also sponsors The Artists' Guild Season Juried Fine Art Exhibit during the month of December through January. On display is original fine art juried by an independent juror. The participating artists are members of The Artists' Guild and outside local South Florida artists. The Courtyard Building is located at 5301 N. Federal Highway, Boca Raton, Florida, across the street from the Boca Raton Marina and Yacht Club. A percentage of the sales from these exhibits have benefited the Boca Raton Museum of Art. Eligibility: Signature Members, Associate Members, Non-Members.
Coral Springs Museum of Art
Annually the Artists' Guild presents a juried exhibition of original art at the Coral Springs Museum of Art. This exhibition is open to all Guild members and is also open to non-Guild members. This show typically is held in February. This venue only permits artwork which can be hung on a wall- no sculptures on pedestals. Eligibility: Signature Members, Associate Members, Non-Members.
Boca Raton Community High School:
The Artists' Guild and the Boca Raton Community High School have formed a partnership of Guild members and high school students to exhibit fine art in three juried art exhibitions during each school year. The fall of 2008 will be the start of the fifth year of this collaborative effort. The juried original artwork is displayed in the Main Administrative Office located at 1501 N.W. 15th Court, Boca Raton, FL. All the artwork is for sale with a portion of the sales benefiting the Boca Raton Museum of Art. Eligibility: Signature Members, Associate Members, Boca Raton High School Students.
Mizner Park Artwalk:
The last Wednesday evening each month, 6 to 9 PM, is the Mizner Park Artwalk. Artists set up small displays of their work along the main walkways of Mizner Park. This is an excellent opportunity for the artists to meet visitors and discuss their work. Some of the artists bring along their paints/brushes to work while participating. The Images Gallery stays open late on these evenings. Eligibility: Signature Members, Associate Members.
Mizner Park Display Window Project:
The Artists' Guild, in cooperation with Mizner Park Management, has created a window display of original art in an unrented store. Here, participating Images Signature Members have an additional opportunity to display their original work on a rotating basis. This display is temporary and will move as different stores are rented and others become available.
